What is a Personal Injury?

Nearly all of us have been hurt at some point in our lifetime, whether minor, or serious. Personal injury claims can have far-reaching consequences.  Because it often is the result of the action or inaction of another person or entity, you may suffer long-term physical and emotional consequences.  The person who suffers the injury in a personal injury lawsuit is called the plaintiff, while the person or company who caused the accident is referred to as the defendant.

Why File a Personal Injury Lawsuit?

There are two main purposes for filing a personal injury lawsuit — allowing the victim to recover the financial losses they’ve suffered as a result of the defendant’s actions, and giving the victim the opportunity to hold the responsible party accountable for their actions.  While money certainly cannot make up for the emotional and medical hardships  suffered, most personal injuries inflict considerable financial damages to the victim.  The injured may have suffered an inability to return to work to earn a paycheck, with medical bills piling up rapidly as a result of recover.  Other financial considerations can also take a toll, sending one into a deep financial hole.  Recovering money from the defendant often makes it easier to cope with the aftermath of a personal injury.  Additionally, when you punish the defendant for causing your injuries, you substantially diminish the likelihood that they will put others in the same danger in the future. Carl's experience and relentless pursuit to hold responsible parties accountable has enabled him to experience success with a wide variety of personal injury claims.  He will use aggressive trial tactics and strategies to ensure that an equitable settlement is reached for you and for your family.
